“Gene” was a wonderful, generous friend! He and Cotton were a lovable neighborhood fixture. He lives in my heart.

Gene was the first to welcome me and my husband to the neighborhood when we moved in two years ago. Will miss seeing him and Cotton on their daily walks.

I was with Frank with Marine Combined Action Platoon 1-3-7 in Quang Ngai province South Vietnam in 1968. He was the commander of the 12 man village at that time. RIP Frank

I entered the Marine Corps with Frank ("Gene") in 1966 in the same Recruit Training Platoon (Marine Corps Recruit Depot-San Diego, Recruit Platoon 3317. I made a point of getting us reunited over the years, and "Gene" was always active on our mailing list. Just now hearing about his passing, today, 26Sep2025, while over here in Greece. May my old Marine buddy rest in peace and his family know he was one squared-away Marine Recruit ... and Marine, following that. Kenn Christie Plt 3317 (San Jose, California)
