Harold Banks

Harold Kenneth Banks affectionately known to everyone as “Sha” was born in Wyoming County, WV on August 9, 1952 to the late Frances Loretta and Charles Richard Banks Sr. and departed this life on Saturday, August 21,2021. Sha was preceded in death by his sisters: Barbara Davenport and Betty “Lois” Belton, brother-in-law: Melvin Toombs. Sha attended Hempstead High Schools throughout his childhood in Hempstead NY where his family relocated at a young age. Sha taught Karate at Percy Jackson Youth Center in Hempstead and was good at what he taught. Sha moved to Indianapolis, Indianna to be closer to his mother and there he started a successful landscaping business. Sha had a kind heart and giving nature.He loved his children and they loved him immensely, they talked almost daily. Sha leaves to cherish his memory: His children: Denedra (Stefan) Knox, Shanita Simpson, Romell (Crystal) Richardson-Banks, Shah (Mandy) Richardson-Banks, Jamel (Kim) Richardson-Banks, Justice Robinson-Banks, Sharod Banks. His brother: Charles Richard (Dreama)Banks Jr., sisters: Priscilla Robinson, Thersia Banks-Toombs, Alfreda (John) Rogers, Sharon (Harvey) Shannon, Sheila Gilliam, Brother-in-Law: Willie Belton Sr. Grandson's: Davon, James, Jayden, Romell Jr., Rocky, Tashawn, Caprece, Jamere , Javoynne, Jaquai, Jalani, Joshua, Jonathan, Shah Jr., King Jelijah. Granddaughters: Quanaya, Talia, Amber, Shahlisa, Shaena, Brianna, Londyn and Breion. Great Grandchildren: Nakari, Ethan, Romell III, Kodi, Zaire, Aubrey, Aria, Autumn, Tamyah, Jesseniah. His companion and emotional support dog “Nina” and his nieces, nephews and friends.
