Obituary
Surrounded by her loving family, Lisa Renee (Stout) Hughes fell asleep in death Thursday, August 19, 2021, at the age of 49. Lisa was born September 3, 1971, in Indianapolis, IN. Lisa graduated Magna Cum Laude from Indiana Wesleyan University with a bachelor's degree in 2004 and worked in Human Resources for 20 years. She loved boating, the beach, reading, having a good glass of wine, and walking her dogs, Sadie and Bentley. Lisa would light up any room she walked into, and was known for her infectious smile, dance moves, impressions, and kind personality. She often brought back meaningful gifts from her travels, and she will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and everyone who knew her. Memorial visitation will be held at Stevens Mortuary on Friday, September 10, 2021, from 4:00 – 8:00 pm. A private burial service for family and close friends will take place the following day at Floral Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Cushing's Support and Research Foundation (csrf.net). Lisa was preceded in death by her sister, Lori Jorden, mother, Rhonda Scriver, and grandparents. She is survived by her daughters, Cara Griffin and Amber (Ben) Knight, husband, Ron Hughes, father, Dale E. (Joan) Stout, sister, Heather Stout, niece and nephew, Kierstin and Trenton Watkins, and several cousins, aunts, and uncles.

To all of Lisa's loved ones...I'm so very sorry for your loss. Lisa will be truly missed. I loved how you described her lighting up the room when she walked into it. How true!! She always had the most beautiful smile and fun personality. I always had so much fun with her, and loved her very much. I look forward to seeing her again, just as Jehovah has promised. All my love to you Cara, Amber and family! Lisa was such a bright, shining light. My dad, Don Mocabee, still displays a card she sent him after mom’s death. She was so precious and sweet.
