Bruce Wynkoop

Bruce Michael Wynkoop, 50 was born at Hendricks County Hospital in Danville, IN on November 13, 1970 to James Allen Wynkoop and Ava Jane Knauer Bellomy. He passed away at 7:07 pm on October 15, 2021 in Indianapolis, IN. Bruce loved to go fishing, cooking on his grill for his family and most of all he loved spending time with all his grandchildren. Bruce was the type of Man that liked to blast old rock and roll in his garage, kick back, and have a few beers. He worked as a Glazier and was a proud union member. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and having evening bonfires with loved ones around. Bruce had such a silly and goofy personality; always making someone laugh. Bruce met his wife of 29 years Charlotte Merkel. They were both employees at Grindstones when they met. Bruce was always known as the neighborhood Dad. He was a great friend and extremely hard working. Bruce enjoyed the food he cooked and his favorite type was fried and grilled. Bruce also loved his sweets. He lived the life he wanted to live. No one could tell him anything as he was very stubborn. Bruce was not the affectionate type, you definitely knew if he didn't like you since he was very outspoken with no filter. Bruce is preceded in death by his father, James Allen Wynkoop. He is survived by his wife Charlotte Merkel; mother Ava Jane Bellomy; step-mother Cindy Wynkoop; sons John (Kelsie) Merkel, Jacob (Kelly) Wynkoop, and James Wynkoop; grandchildren Aubrey, JJ, Jaxson, Brooklyn and Hunter; siblings Rachel, Chris, Jason and Dianna; aunts and uncles Susan Long, Jesse Rayles, Rachel Foster, David Wynkoop, Margaret Wynkoop and Nancy Freshour; nieces and nephews Sevren Myers, Isabella Wynkoop and Cameron Wynkoop.
