You’re my Hero, one of my best friends and just a kind human being. I am so blessed to have been your son and I am so proud of you for all that you accomplished. You’re an inspiration. I will miss you deeply every single day. I love you, Daddio. Love, Drewski

My happiest memory of David was his presence at Andrew’s wedding. Preparing for the ceremony with him and seeing his obvious joy was wonderful and it struck me that he seemed a peaceful, kind person. I’m grateful to have shared that memory with him and for all the years I came and went from his house in the early days of my friendship with Andrew. Love to you all.

I knew David for the better part of 26 years or so, and everything that will assuredly be shared in the coming days by the multitudes he touched is true: He was the kindest, gentlest, happiest soul. I never heard him speak ill of anyone, never heard him get unreasonable or short of temper -- and I certainly never heard him decline an opportunity to help his fellow man. Selfless to an incomprehensive degree, that was David. Endless Dad jokes falling out of his pockets, that was David. Truly the best of us. That was David.

I knew Dave from the VMF at the Post Office. He was kind and good natured about everything and never spoke against anyone. You will be missed Dave.

Dave was a great man and a Christian. He was a joy to be around, and his music lit up the room like heaven.
