David Aaron Batson, 38, of Indianapolis passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021. He was born in Las Vegas, NV on January 6, 1983 to Karen S. Beckner and David E. Batson. He graduated from Ben Davis High School. David enjoyed fishing, camping and most of all, family time at the lake. He also enjoyed assembling model airplanes. He is survived by his mother, Karen S. Beckner; and stepfather, Kevin E. Beckner; father, David E. Batson; sister, Jessica Fancher; nephews, Riley Batson, Eli Fancher and Aiden Fancher; niece, Lyla Fancher; grandmother, Elsie Kennedy; uncles, Bob Kennedy, Bill Reed and Mike Lachner; aunts, Cathy Lachner, Jackie Reed and Maria Kennedy; and his cousins, Kevin Marusa, Scott Marusa, Clara Reed, Sarah Kennedy, Caitlin Kennedy, Connor Kennedy, Destiny Kennedy and Kevin.

Going to the lake as kids will forever be my fondest memories of the time we spent together. Shooting bottle rockets across the cove. All our time at the sandbar. Hanging out with all our friends. We were always up to no good and it was awesome!
