Obituary
Larry Dean Stokes, 68, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on December 29, 2021. Larry was born in Indianapolis, IN on July 30, 1953 to Billy G. Stokes Sr. and Lula C. (Minton) Stokes. Larry was a 1972 graduate of Avon High School. He was the owner and operator of Larry Stokes Plumbing which was founded in 1999. He was a member of the Plumbing, Heating, Cooling Contractors (PHCC). Larry enjoyed playing guitar and the Banjo. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends. Larry was loved by so many and will be missed by all. He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving and devoted wife of 21 years, Glenda E. Stokes; and son Larry Stokes Jr. Larry is survived by his grandsons Trent Stokes and Hunter Stokes; sister Karen (Bill) Sommers; brothers Bill (Patty) Stokes and Ron (Shannyn) Stokes; and many nieces and nephews.

Larry was such a shy, kind little boy. He always stayed in the background & let others lead. As a man, he had a very gentle soul. He had lost so much, the loss of his son & wife, there was a sadness about him but always had kind words for others. I didn't see him often but when I did, he would make me feel at ease & comfortable. Larry was that every day guy who got along with everyone & never an unkind word. I loved Larry...I definitely will miss him. I feel sad but I know he's with the Lord, his wife & son. He's finally gone to his forever home. He's happy again. RIP Larry

I will always hold Larry Dean close in my heart. He was my brother in many ways. The last time we visited together was very special, and I will cherish that memory.
