We will never forget Tom. He was one of the best friends anyone could have. Good hearted man and every time we see a honey bee we will think of Tom. We’ve had many conversations with Tom and several about heaven. Tom knew he was going to heaven to be with his mother and dad and other loved ones. Now heaven has a wonderful bee keeper. No more pain for Tommy. May you rest in the arms of the lord Tommy. We will miss you forever and we love you. Love Angie and John Thurman.

It was only for the past few years that I knew Tom. We met through beekeeping and I am glad we met before he "moved on" down the trail to eternity. He was one of the most dedicated beekeepers I have ever met. He was faithful to the care of his bees in spite of the effort it took for him to accomplish the required tasks. Even though he was undergoing intensive chemo treatment, he would ride his bike substantial distances to check on and tend to his hives. He would occasion ask for help with transporting bee boxes that could not be carried on his bike ....but .... that was an exception to the rule. Tom had a lot of grit and was truly dedicated to being the best beekeeper he could be. After meeting with him I would come away with a ton of admiration for his "whatever it takes to git'er done" attitude. In spite of his ongoing health problems, I NEVER heard him complain about his situation. Tom was a special person and he will be missed -=- terry plank -=- Fellow Beekeeper
