Jeff and I were roommates at MCAS EL Toro in 1979, he was great guy to have as a roomy and as a friend. He introduced me to his classmate Chuck Dailey and the band Journey and the best barber at the base exchange barber shop. Every time I heard a Journey song played on the radio, I thought of Jeff, I will continue to do so. I thought he was nuts when he drove his Yamaha 400 all the way back to South Bend before he shipped off to Okinawa. He thought I was nuts for getting on a Amtrak train and going out to Vancouver in the spring of 1982 to see him get married. That turned out to be one of my top 5 vacation trips I have ever taken. After learning of his passing yesterday evening I am still in a state of shock today. I am at a loss for words to express my grief for his passing and the impact of the memories made from the short time we shared. I am honored that he was in my circle of friends at a point in my life that needed a person with the soul that Jeff had. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him... until we meet again brother...Rest in Peace J-Fry

I cannot tell you how sorry I am to hear about Jeff's passing. I so enjoyed seeing Jeff and meeting his daughter, Alex, when Tury was in town for a reunion. Jeff was such a compassionate person and it is so hard to accept that he is gone. Prayers and Hugs to all of you.

Even though I didn't know Jeff, I knew Lori was so blessed to be married to him. They seemed so happy together. I send my condolences to the family and hugs to Lori at this very difficult time. Robin Marquette-Macer

Prayers for your hearts as you walk through this loss. I met (Jeffy) I believe in 1982? Gosh a long time ago. He married his oldest 3 girls mom and it was a time of laughter hanging out, drinking a beer and doing life together. My heart broke when I heard the news of his passing, but I am secure in knowing I will see him again.
