Ramon Volpatti, 95, of Speedway passed away on December 6, 2022. He was born in Italy to Giuseppe and Teodolinda Volpatti on February 1, 1927. He worked for Peerless Pump as an electrical engineer for 40 years. Ramon served in the United States Navy and was a member of the Knights of Columbus – Fourth Degree. He was also an active member in American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers. He enjoyed golfing and being with his family. Ramon was preceded in death by his parents, Giuseppe and Teodolinda Volpatti; wife of 62 years, Elizabeth (Betty) Volpatti; sons, David and Alan Volpatti; and daughter, Lisa Smith. He is survived by his daughter, Marcia (Mark) Stevenson; sons, Brian (Angelene) Volpatti and Mark (Stephen) Volpatti; grandchildren, Daniel Smith, Padrick Anderson, Isabella Volpatti, Grace Stevenson and Madeleine Stevenson; and great grandchildren, Schylar and Layla Smith. I send my condolences to Ray's children and their families. I worked at Peerless for many years beginning in 1957 when Ray was my supervisor. He was always very fair and worked hard to improve our work environment. He was directly responsible for getting the first time sharing computer for the engineering department long before PC's were available. Ray also oversaw a number of product development projects for products that Peerless still manufactures and sells today. I am very sorry he is gone, but he left his mark on Peerless that will endure for years.

As I am witting this I just found out about his passing. I want to wish everyone in my family my condolences and I am forever sorry. I wish there was more I can or do, but simply I am at a lost of words.
