Barbara Kent

Barbara Ann Kent, 85. Indianapolis passed away on December 20, 2022. Barbara was born in Burlington, IA on October 21, 1937, to John and Ileen (Widdows) Klindt, both preceding her in death. She is also preceded in death by her sons Carl Kent and Darrel Kent; and brother William Klindt. Barbara was an elementary teacher for over 30 years. She had a servant's heart, and in her retirement, Barbara volunteered her time, talent and love at her church, in hospitals, retirement communities and at the IMA Greenhouse. Barbara was an avid gardener, a world traveler and lined danced for 20 plus years; and even performed at the Indiana State Fair. Barbara was devoted and loved her family; she was after all the Matriarch of the family. She was deeply loved and respected by so many and will be dearly missed by all. Barbara leaves behind to cherish her memory daughter Diane Kent; grandchildren Dylan Fox, Daniel Kent, Alexandria Kent, Cassandra Kent, Christopher Kent, and Kevin Kent; thirteen great-grandchildren; 2 great- great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 5:00 PM on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Stevens Mortuary 5520 W. 10th Street Indpls, with visitation from 3:00PM until time of service.
