Jerry Shearer, 72, of Indianapolis passed away on February 2, 2024. She was born in Indianapolis to Harold and Edna Williams on December 14, 1951. Jerry worked for Allison Payment Systems. She was a Loyal Order of the Women of the Moose, a devoted, caring foster parent for 19 years to 70 children. Jerry was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Edna Williams; daughter, Kimberly; brothers, Frank, Paul, Joe, Harold and Carl; and sister, Shirley. She is survived by her husband of forty years, Charles “Charlie” Shearer; daughters, Elaine (Jimmy), Louise, Sandy (Jeremy), Amanda (Chris), Elizabeth (Jordan), Marisa (Tyler), Angelina (Blake) and Malina; sons, Anthony, Charles, Brandon and Matthew; sister, Vicki; brother, John (Linda); twenty-six grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Jerry was an amazing mother in law not that she ever treated me as an in law. I will forever remember her laugh and be grateful to this entire family for accepting me and my daughter (Jazzlyn) as one of them in more than just name. - My favorite memory will always be when Jessilyn was just a wee little thing I came home to her slobbering all over a king size sneaker (this I craved my entire pregnacy) as a new mom I was surprised and a little worried but Maws laugh made me realize it was fine. She always had the best advise (even if I didn't always take it). She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and her memories will be treasured by all who loved her
