Karen Sue Montgomery went home to Jesus on April 23, 2024 at age 69.

Karen was born to Richard and Patricia Lohrman on September 23, 1954 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Karen met her husband, Donald Montgomery in 1970. They married on May 15, 1971 and went on to have three children, Steven (Charity), Stephanie and Cindy (Shane). As much as she loved being a mother, it was her role as Mamaw to her seven grandchildren; Kyle, Brittany (Robert), Breanna (Ryan), Eric, Jacob, Kayla and Michael (Sydnee); and seven great grandchildren, Isabella, Keygan, Robert Jr., Olivia, Keith, Ryan Jr. and (coming soon) Nya Sue that brought her the most joy. She is survived by her loving sister, Mary (Ward) Durham.  Karen had the biggest heart and loved being around family and playing games. She will be missed by so many.  

Karen joins both of her parents; sister, Debra Denning; brother, Richard (Ricky) Lohrman; and her beloved daughter, Stephanie in Heaven.

My heart breaks just thinking about not having you to talk to but we had 45 years being the best of friends and Sisters I'll miss you like crazy but I know you're with Stephanie and couldn't be happier for you for that but my heart breaks for the ones left behind I'll love and miss you always

When I think of Karen, I always think of her with a smile on her face, what a strong woman she was, and how much she loved her family. My heart goes out to all of them. I know they’re devastated, but I hope they can find comfort in knowing she’s with loved ones who passed before her, and she’s in God’s loving arms.

It saddened me to hear of your passing Karen. You were always a very kind person to me and I’ll never forget that. RIP with Stephanie. Thinking of Donald and the rest of the family during this difficult time.
