Ashley Joseph Smiley, 54, of Speedway, Indiana passed away on April 21, 2024. Ashley was born in Peoria, Illinois to Robert Anthony Smiley and Elizabeth Ann (Harris) Smiley George.
Ashley worked for Chrysler (New Venture Gear) in Syracuse, New York for 10 years prior to his injury. Ashley loved Indiana Basketball, fishing, outdoor cooking, and music of all kinds. He cared for and loved his children deeply, always getting them excited before trips or even going to the park. Ashley never met a stranger, was friendly and outgoing. Ashely, who was loved by so many, will be missed by all who knew him.
Ashely was preceded in death by his father Robert Anthony Smiley, sister Leanne Johnson, and nephews Jacob Johnson and Joseph Johnson. He is survived by his mother Elizabeth George; children Victoria A. Smiley, Hannah Lee Smiley, Kaitlyn E. (Smiley) Gary and Devin J. Smiley; brother Stephen Harris; niece Samantha Russell; aunts Helen Smith, Janet (Lacer) Smiley Foster and Janet L. Bucher
