Obituary

Troy Mann, aged 60, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away peacefully at his home on April 21, 2024 after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife, Susan; father Sidney Parker; mother Ann Elizabeth Wilson; siblings Todd, Tom, Doug, Shawn, Leslie and Morgan; along with countless friends.

Troy will be remembered for his many incredibly crafted vehicles. His vision coupled with his relentless tenacity produced many one-of-a-kind cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats and his grand finale, a street legal IndyCar. His talents were endless; he was truly a self-made man.

He also enjoyed Boogie skating with friends, music, flying, his cats…but most of all his wild car builds.

My husband and I are at a loss of words hearing of Troy's passing. We have known Troy for over 20 years, as he has always taken care of our pool and also have just become a friend of our entire family. I tried reaching out to him over the past few weeks and after not hearing from him, I began to worry, and after googling his name, learned of his passing just today. We are so sorry to his entire family and close friends. He was one of a kind. Alway so knowledgeable on so many fronts and always helping our family out in many ways. I know he was a giver of life to all those around him. Troy, you will be missed terribly, and you laugh and deep conversations will be always be remembered. We will keep your family in our prayers as they grieve your loss. Rest easy friend. Laurie and Paul Casey

Troy was a great man. I met him 15 years ago and has been a great friend. We had lost touch for a while but had texted him a few months ago & he told he was sick. He loved his cars & pool busy & loved his skating. Always was there to help out anyone in need. He had a big heart. He will be dearly missed. I know you are an guardian angel now looking down on us. Love you much & are dearly missed. Love ya Your friend Jennifer (Sunshine)

The YouTube algorithm sent me to watch a video on Street Rat Garage about Troy Mann. I watch Cleetus Mcfarland all of the time. I would have never knew anything about Troy if not for Cleetus buying his car. He would probably be surprised that his car is now being watched and followed by millions of people.
