Judy Lambert

Judy Lambert, 77, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on September 9, 2026.

She was born on December 2, 1948, in Indianapolis to the late Robert and Irma (Baker) Latham. A graduate of Ben Davis High School and Ivy Tech's nursing program, Judy devoted more than 30 years to caring for others as a nurse, including many years at St. Vincent Hospital and other area medical facilities.

Judy married the love of her life, Frank Richard Lambert, Jr., on February 26, 1966. Together, they shared 60 years of marriage and built a life centered around family.

Judy enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, and bird watching. She especially looked forward to annual trips to the Covered Bridge Festival and Christmas shopping trips with the girls. Above all, Judy treasured her family. She lovingly hosted birthday dinners for her children and grandchildren, preparing each person's favorite home-cooked meal and a homemade birthday cake. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren held an especially treasured place in her heart.

Judy is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Frank Richard Lambert, Jr.; son, James Richard Lambert (Kelly); daughter, Shannon Darlene Morton (Edward); grandchildren, Adam Richard Frank (Karissa), Morgan Renee Lambert (Brandon), Taylor Ann Lambert, Hayden James Richard Lambert, Keaton Robert Lambert, Kaleb William Lambert, Brady Austin Lockwood, and Riley Steven Smith; great-grandchildren, Braelynn Renee Blake, Eleanor Catherine-Ann Blake, Ava Rose Blake, Mateo Guzman-Solis, Amara Guzman-Solis, Edith Louise Frank, and Leland Richard Frank; sister, Susan Blandford of Zionsville; and brother, Jack Latham of Lebanon.

In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Latham, and sister, Cynthia L. Mitchell.

Friends may visit with Judy's family on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Stevens Mortuary. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m., with interment at West Ridge Park Cemetery.
