Obituary

Debra Lynn Clement White 69, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2026 surrounded by her husband and the love of her family.

She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter and dear friend whose presence touched the lives of so many. She had a personality all her own—sassy, sweet, stubborn, and full of love. She could make you laugh, tell you exactly what she thought, and leave an impression that would stay with you long after she was gone.

Family was incredibly important to her. She cherished the people she loved and created memories that will be treasured forever. She had a little bit of everything she loved in life, but above all, she loved the people who called her family and friends.

She will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Charles (Chuck) White and step-son, William (Bill) White (Jennifer), Joyce Clement (mother), her brother, Eric Clement (April), nephews, Dillon Clement (Candace) and Caden Clement , niece, Jensen Clement and many other relatives and dear friends who were blessed to know and love her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Evan Mason along with Gene Clement (father) and nephew, Casey Perry.

While her family will carry the heartbreak of losing her, there is comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with her son, whom she had missed dearly.

She dedicated 40 years of her life to Duke Energy, where she built a long and meaningful career and touched the lives of many along the way. Outside of work, she enjoyed the simple things that brought her happiness. She loved stamping, riding her bicycle, mowing her grass, and spending time tending to and admiring her flowers. She had a special love for old cars and enjoyed attending car shows, where she could admire the classics and share in the excitement of something she truly loved.

Those who knew her will remember her for her strong spirit, her sassy sense of humor, her sweetness, her stubbornness, and most of all, the love she gave so freely to the people around her.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.

Chuck, May her memory be eternal, may she rest in heavens peace. During a time of loss, words can never fully express the depth of our sympathy. Please know that you and your family are being held in our thoughts as you remember, honor, and celebrate someone whose life has meant so much to so many. As you walk through the days ahead, please know that you do not have to navigate every detail alone. We are here to listen, to guide, and to help in whatever way we can. Thank you for allowing us the privilege of serving your family. May the memories you hold close bring comfort today and remain a lasting source of strength in the years ahead.
