Laura Burton

Laura Anne Burton, 66, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Laura was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew her. She loved deeply and gave so much of herself to the people and animals she cherished. She was a deeply spiritual woman who found comfort and peace in her faith and in the beauty of God’s creation. Her spirituality was reflected in the way she lived- with love, compassion, gratitude, and a deep appreciation for the world around her.

Laura has a special love for nature and found joy in the beauty of plants, birds, and flowers. Some of her happiest moments were spent sitting on her back patio with a cup of coffee in the morning, enjoying the fresh air, listening to the birds, and taking in the peacefulness of nature. She treasured the simple moments that brought her happiness and had an appreciation for the beauty all around her.

Laura also adored her two beloved dogs, who brought her endless companionship and joy. Her grandchildren held a very special place in her heart, and she cherished every moment she was able to spend with them. She was always there to support them, and she would never have missed one of their games if she could help it.

Laura’s love, kindness, spirituality, and warmth touched the lives of so many. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she loved, in the beauty of nature she cherished, and in the many lives she touched.

Laura was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Russell and Joyce Arlene Bewley; and daughter, April Burton.

She is survived by her children, Susanne Harrington (Rodney), Jason Burton (Michelle), Rachelle Anderson (Keith); grandkids, Jessica Page (Matt), Jordan Stokes (Trent), Craig Harrington (Morgan), Savannah Anderson, Alexis Anderson, Landon Anderson; 4 great grandkids; and siblings, Sherrie Harvey (Vic), Beth Wilson, Rusty Bewley.
