Sandra Smith

Sandra Ellen Smith, who was born on October 21, 1943, in Des Moines, Iowa, and passed away on August 5, 2026, in Avon, Indiana, lived a life marked by love, kindness, and selflessness. She was the beloved daughter of John True and Jaunita True, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Roger E. Smith. Sandra was a devoted mother to her son, Michael D. Smith of Marietta, Georgia, and her daughter, Julie Scales of New Castle, Indiana. She was also a cherished grandmother to Hannah Whitaker of Anderson, South Carolina, Sarah Dolbier of Smyrna, Georgia, Dana Scales, and Brian Scales. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Ian and James Whitaker of Anderson, Georgia, and she delighted in the joy and energy they brought to the family.
