Frederick Ennis

Frederick V. Ennis Jr., 85, of Indianapolis, passed away on June 22nd, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

Fred was a remarkably generous and loving man who truly never met a stranger. Known as a friend to everyone, his warmth, kindness, and compassion left a lasting impression. He was a wonderful father and a deeply devoted grandfather and great-grandfather who cherished every moment spent playing, laughing, and making memories with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

An avid outdoorsman, Fred loved the freedom of the open road. He was a passionate Harley Davidson enthusiast, and when he wasn't riding, he could often be found boating, camping, or planning his next travel adventures with his beloved wife, Rose. His enthusiasm for life was contagious, and he embraced his hobbies with the same love he gave to his family.

He is survived by his wife Rose M. Ennis, his children Frederick E. Ennis, Daniel J. Ennis, Timothy M. Ennis, Amiee A. Ennis, Meghan K. Faulkens, Jennifer L. Wheelock, Elijah J. Reynolds, Joshua P. Reynolds, his beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, his sister Marie Biddinger, and a wide circle of extended family and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his mother Lima Ennis and his father Frederick V. Ennis Sr., and his brother Jim Ennis.

Services will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026, at Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St, Indianapolis, IN. Family hour will begin at 11:00 AM, followed by a visitation for the public and extended family from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The funeral service will commence at 2:00 PM.
