William A. Komlance Sr., 90, began his journey to be with his loving wife, Rita Ann Komlnace and loving daughters, Rebecca McDonald and Karen L. Stevens. He was born January 10, 1924 to Louis and Agnes Komlanc.
William attended Holy Trinity Grade School and graduated in 1941 from George Washington High School. He was a WWII Veteran serving in Africa, India and China where he received a Bronze Star. He was a supervisor at Baldor Electric, retiring in 1994. William was a member of the Slovenian National Home, KSKJ Lodge 52, Holy Family Society, Saints Francis and Clare Catholic Church.
He is survived by sons, William (Mary) Komlance Jr. and Kevin Komlance; daughters, Rita (Rick) Wells, Christina (Noel) Tow and Theresa (Dean) Jackley; grandchildren, Jennifer Radecki, Scott McDonald, Emily, Alex and Aric Komlance, Anna Tow, Shayna Stevens, Sarah and Katie Jackley, Amber Wolf, Adam Cloud and 5 great grandchildren. William is also survived by his grandson, Zachery N. Tow, who was his church companion and helper in many ways.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17 from 4 pm - 8 pm in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indpls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 18 at 10 am in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 901 N. Holmes Ave., Indpls. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
