Valentina Burnside

Valentina V. Story Burnside, 96, passed away February 2, 2015. She retired from Lilly Endowment Inc. in December 1983. After retirement, she volunteered for 18 years for the Historic Landmarks Foundation of Indiana and the Indiana State Museum. She was a member of the Slovenian National Home, Unitarian-Universalist Church, the Circle City Lacers and the Embroiderers Guild of America. She will be greatly missed by her loving caregivers, Nancy McCarthy and Susan Simons. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Gandolf; sister, Ann Stroy of Coconut Creek, FL and her dear friend, Sylvester Bayt. It was Val's wishes that funeral services are to be held privately.
