Obituary
Patty Ann was born to this life and the next on the same date, September 10th. Patty was born in Cicero, IL to Jerry and Rose (Bartik) Pojeta. She was the fourth child of nine as was her college sweetheart, David, whom she married April 16, 1966. Pat was the mother of David (Beth Montgomery) Whitsett II of Frankfort, IN and Donna (Christopher) Dauby of Indianapolis. Her heart belonged to her grandchildren, Grant and Sophia Whitsett and Sam and Erin Dauby. Pat graduated with a BS degree in biology and worked in blood banking for thirty years. She earned a Specialist in Blood Banking in 1992 and was Lab Director at the Augusta, GA Blood Bank for three years. Patty was most proud of being a child of God. Patty is sadly missed by all. Visitation will be Monday, September 15, 2008 from 4 to 7:30p.m. at Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., followed by a 7:30 Rosary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at 11a.m. at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 5301 W. 16th St. with one hour calling prior. Contributions may be made to the American Brain Tumor Association at www.abta.org.

It breaks my heart to know that my beloved Aunt Pat is no longer with us in this world. As a kid, I remember her making us pancakes for breakfast with her beautiful long hair when we'd visit even though she'd worked all nite. As an adult, I considered her to be a role model as a working woman who seemed to maintain a well-balanced life. I loved her smile, sense of humor, her unwavering faith, and her love for her family. I will miss her more than words can say. My thoughts, prayers and love to all of you. I'm so sorry I couldn't be there for you for the funeral in person, but I was there in spirit.
