Obituary
Margaret I. Clelland Carmichael, 76, of Indianapolis, passed away on October 4, 2008. She was born on June 11, 1932. Margaret graduated from the IU School of Nursing at IUPUI as a RN and for the last 20 years has worked as the private duty nurse for Ruth Lilly. She loved traveling, gardening and playing the piano. She grew up in a musical family, which included gospel music. Margaret had a way to lighten up the people who surrounded her. She was a very generous and kind individual, which made her a great nurse. Margaret was the family's hero and angel and will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her 3 brothers; 1 sister; and sons, Ronnie, Jimmy, Stevie. Margaret is survived by her son, Gary (Cathy) Carmichael; daughter, Cheryl (Joe) Adams; brother, Phil Clelland; step grandchildren, Joseph Adams Jr, Sarah Woods and Monica Cosentino; and step great grandchildren, Michael, Marcus, Gino, Emery and Reese. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 10, 2008 at 1:00 pm at the Second Presbyterian Church, located at 7700 N Meridian, Indpls, with visitation there beginning at 10:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Stevens Mortuary. Online condolences may be made at www.stevensmortuary.net.

Cheri, I'm so Sorry to hear about your Mother. I want You to know that you are in my Thoughts and Prayers. I know she was a wonderful Woman to have such a wonderful Daughter, and was so proud of You. Sorry i'm out of town and hope to connect with You at some of our get together. she was such a caring person and will be missed, I remember meeting her and she was nice to me. I Hope you can gather some strength from Cyndi and the Girls. and hope You Know how Much you are Loved and blessed with Good friends, till We meet again God Bless You and Protect You.

Cheri, Linda and I send our prayers and wish we could be there to help get you through this difficult time. May it bring comfort to you to know that your mother has gone to a better place. Cindi had nothing but good things to say about your mom. I wish I had the opportunity to have met her she sounded like such a wonderful person.
