Doris I. Daniel, 79, of Speedway, passed away December 30, 2008. She was born August 29, 1929. Doris worked as a teacher?s assistant for I.P.S. for many years and was a member of Speedway Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark W. Daniel, Sr.; son, Mark W. Daniel, Jr.; and great grandson, Landyn Daniel. She is survived by her sons, John L. (Becky) and Steven M. Daniel; daughters, Diana (Charles) Dolk and Patricia (Alan) Voils; grandchildren, Steven, Melissa, Mark, Charlie, John, Jaime, Meredith, Trish, Matthew, Danielle and Becky; and great grandchildren, Mark and Aidan. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at Speedway Baptist Church, 2986 Moller Rd, at 1:00 pm, with visitation there beginning at 11:00 am. Burial will be at West Ridge Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Speedway Baptist Church. Arrangements were entrusted to Stevens Mortuary. I was so sorry to hear of Mrs. Daniel's passing. Please accept my sincerest condolences. I was flooded with wonderful memories of times spent at the house on Goodlet. She was a special lady who I'm sure will be missed terribly.

I am so sorry for the loss of your grandmother and mother. She was an extraordinary woman who showed me nothing but kindness as I grew up with Trish and Danni. I remember fondly spending summer days with her while she was home with us girls. I am so sorry for your loss and my thoughts are with you.
