Obituary
Geraldine "Gerry" Long 73, of Indianapolis, passed away June 7, 2009. She was born on November 27, 1935. Gerry worked as an administrative assistant for Carrier Corp. for 25 years and was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. She loved to golf. Gerry was preceded in death by her sister, Inez Hollon and brother, Cecil Crawford. She is survived by her husband, Jan Long; daughter, Vickie Kauffman; sister, Phyllis Smith; grandchildren, Chad (Katie) and Cari Kauffman and great grandchild, Benjamin Kauffman. Visitation will be held today, June 9, 2009 at Stevens Mortuary from 4-8 pm. Funeral services will be there on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at 10:30 am. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery. I was so saddened to hear about Geraldine's death. She faced the challenges she was dealt with amazing spirit and determination and I am glad that I got to know her a bit through her time at Clarian West. My prayers to you all as you deal with this great loss.

Dear Jan & Family, We are saddened to hear of the loss of our friend, Gerry. We will hold dear the wonderful memories of times shared together-golf league, golf outings & Christmas parties.
