Vern Pine 78, passed away June 10, 2009. Vern was born in Vigo County on July 5, 1930 to John and Cora Pine. He was in skilled trade at Allisons, retiring in 1987. Vern was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Hawes. Survivors include his wife, Wilma Pine; children, Loretta Pine, Steven (Nancy) Pine; stepchildren, Pam (Jay) Barker, Tony (Tammy) Skinner, Mark (Sondra) Skinner and Demra (Jeff) Christian; 2 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 9 step grandchildren; 6 step great grandchildren and 2 sisters. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 14, 2009 at Stevens Mortuary & Family Center, 5520 W 10th St, Indpls, from 3 to 6 p.m. Funeral services will be there Monday, June 15, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Diabetes Association.
