Mary Cox

Mary E. Reine Cox 92 years old, passed away at St. Augustine's Little Sisters of the Poor on August 18, 2009. Mary was a resident at the home for over 10 years. She was born April 26, 1917 in Evansville. She was a life member of the Elks, and a past member of St. Christopher parish. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl E. Cox, her brother Msgr. Francis J. Reine, and her parents Emma and Frank Reine. She will be missed by her two daughters Bette (Cyril) Schrage of Punta Gorda, Florida and Patricia (James) McNeely of Avon, Indiana. She has four grandchildren Jane (Fritz) Eisele, Nick (Christine) McNeely, Joe (Dorothy) Schrage and Lynda (Barry) Spofford. There are nine great grandchildren Natalie, Timothy, Brian and David Eisele, Kevin, Robert and Mark Schrage, and Mallary and Ansley Spofford. She will also be missed by the loving staff and residents at St. Augustine's. Visitation will be held in the chapel at St. Augustine's, 2345 W. 86th St., Friday, August 21 from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will also be held at St. Augustine's , Sat. August 22 at 10:30a.m. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Evansville, IN. at 3 p.m. E.S.T. (EVANSVILLE TIME). Rather than flowers, please make donations to the Little Sisters of the Poor.
