Cynthia Keller

Cynthia Louise Keller, known affectionately as Charly to some of her classmates, passed away on August 24, 2024, at the age of 63 in Danville, Indiana. Born on January 5, 1961, in Indianapolis, Indiana, she grew up in Danville where she attended Danville Elementary and Danville High School, later graduating from Indiana State University.

Cindy dedicated 30 years of her life to nursing, where she was revered for her exceptional bedside manner and compassionate care as well as her ability to connect deeply with patients, colleagues, and community members alike. Cindy's vibrant spirit was most evident in her love for being there for those going through tough times, singing and dancing, attending concerts, laying out in the sun, painting and spending quality time with her family and friends. 

She had a special place in her heart for St. Mary Queen of Peace, where she was a regular attendee for the majority of her life.  Although Cindy held many roles in her life, the one she was the most proud of was her role as mom and grandmother (Mame as they affectionately called her). You could often find Cindy in the stands at one of her grandchildren's many activities, taking pictures and cheering them and their teammates on. 

Cindy is survived by the love of her life, Bobby Keller; her sons, Landon and Austin Keller; daughter-in-law, Kensey Keller; grandchildren, Hallie, Jonah, and June Keller; sibling Lisa Ellison.  She was predeceased by her parents, Donald R. Cave Sr. and Pauline Cave; siblings, Catherine, Gary, Carolyn, Margret, and Donald Cave Jr., and granddaughter Lillian Grace Keller.

A memorial service will be held at the Blanton House in Danville, Indiana on Tuesday, September 10th from 4-8 PM, with Phil Gulley speaking at 6 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to go towards a memorial fund, honoring Cindy's legacy and love for her community.

Cindy's life was a testament to the power of nurturing and kindness, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she encountered. She was an embodiment of empathy, grace, class and style. Although she will be sorely missed, her legacy will continue to inspire and resonate with all who knew her.
