Obituary
Christine "Chris" S. Eads 78, of Indianapolis, passed away on September 9, 2009. She was born on March 7, 1931. Christine worked for the Indiana State Board of Health for 38 years, retiring in 1998. She was an honorary member of St. Stephen Bulgarian Eastern Orthodox Church, as well as a member of the sisterhood. She loved her family and her pets. Christine was preceded in death by her husband, James S. Eads, Sr. and brother, George M. Shaneff. She is survived by her son, James S. Eads, Jr.; daughter, Alexandra Eads; sisters, Violet Axline, Suzanne Seaver and Gayle Shaneff; grandchildren, Courtney Christine and Shelby Lynne Eads and great grandson, Ryan James Eads; along with Andre, her beloved pet. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 11:00 am at St. Stephen Bulgarian Eastern Orthodox Church, located at 1435 N Medford, Indpls, with visitation there beginning at 9:00 am. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Stevens Mortuary & Family Center, 5520 W 10th St, Indpls. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the church. Chris worked with my late father at the Board of Health many years ago. I remember her so well and she was the nicest person. I always enjoyed talking with her when I would visit the ISBH. Much sympathy to your family.
