Obituary
Catherine Theresa Grannan McCleary 72, passed away on November 7, 2009. She was born on September 26, 1937. Catherine retired from Indianapolis Public Schools Food Services in 2002, after 26 years. She was a member of Evangelization Bible Studies; Divine Mercy Chapel, St. Thomas More and the St. Thomas More choir and women's club. Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, William E. McCleary, Sr.; brothers, Paul Marian and Charles Grannan and son-in-law, Rickey Mittchell. She is survived by her son, Bill (Jennette), Andy (Julie) and Chris (Kim) McCleary; daughters, Theresa (Neil) Jarvis and Cheryl (Brian) Thompson; brothers, Elbert, Anthony, James and Raymond Grannan; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Cathy would say, "I have now gone home to be with the Lord." Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 11 at Stevens Mortuary & Family Center, 5520 W 10th St, Indpls, from 4 to 7:30 p.m., with a 7:30 p.m. rosary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, November 12 at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, 1200 N Indiana St, Mooresville, 46158 (317) 831-4142, at 10:00 a.m., with one hour of visitation prior to the mass. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. The family requests contributions be made to the church or St. Vincent De Paul. Online condolences may be made at: www.stevensmortuary.net
