Obituary
Mary "GG" Evelyn (Scoville) Azbill, 66, of Indianapolis, passed away February 10, 2010. She was born August 14, 1943 to Herman and Grace Kidd. Mary worked at the State Department of Health as the Health Director of Acute Care for 26 years. She received the State Health Commissioner Award for Excellence in 1999 and again, in 2008. Mary was a member of Ben Davis Christian Church and enjoyed the Children's Ministry there. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Mary is preceded in death by her father and sister, Carolyn Sue Kidd. She is survived by her husband, Ted Azbill; son, Andy (Holly) Azbill; daughter, Susan (Chad) Carter; mother; grandchildren, Patrick, Andrew and Madison Carter; Faith, Gracie and Noelle Azbill. A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 15, 2010 at Ben Davis Christian Church, 701 S High School Rd, Indpls, at 12:30 pm, with visitation there from 10 - 12:00 noon. Contributions may be made to the Children's Ministry at Ben Davis Christian Church. Arrangements were entrusted to Stevens Mortuary & Family Center. www.stevensmortuary.net

I am sorry to hear about the loss of this wonderful lady. I have never met Mary, but spoken with her many times on the telephone. Over the years, she gave expert, educational, and sound advice whenever she was consulted on any Indiana State Department of Health initiative. Her expertise will be missed. You are in my prayers.

My sincerest sympathies and prayers are with Ted and family. Mary talked about her family all the time. She loved her family so much. I had the pleasure of working with Mary for 9 years and Mary thought ISDH/Acute Care could accomplish anything and everything. respected her as my superior and friend. She was a wonderful person. Mary was devoted to her family, friends and dedicated to the ISDH and the people of Indiana. Mary will be greatly missed. God Bless you and yours and keep you in his loving hands.
