Obituary
Kenneth K. Nelson 74, of Speedway, passed away on July 30, 2010. He was born on June 5, 1936. He worked for the Indiana University Dental School for 38 years as the head of Dental Instruments and retired in 1999. He was a member of the New Harmony Baptist Church. He has 2 sons, Andrew (Shirley) Nelson and Galen Nelson; 5 brothers, Charles Jr., George, Pete, Thomas and David Nelson; and 4 grandchildren. Visitation will be held August 4, 2010 from 4-8 p.m. and a funeral service at 1 p.m. on August 5, 2010 at Stevens Mortuary & Family Center. My family has parked in Kenneth's yard we think since 1973 for the Indy 500. He was always gracious and so friendly. He even gave us towels one year when we were soaked from rain. We were so sorry to see of his passing. We will miss seeing him! The Peterson family

I graduated from the dental school in 1996 and Mr. Nelson was always present during my four years. He always had a smile on his face and was a pleasure to work with. He was well liked and very helpful. My condolences to your family.
