Obituary
Dorothy C. LaFave 87, of Indianapolis passed away on March 1, 2011. She was born on September 4, 1923. In 1943 Dorothy graduated from business college. She retired in 1985 after 32 years of dedicated service as a legal secretary for public service (Duke Energy). She was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church and was a Eucharistic Minister. Dorothy is preceded in death by her loving husband, Lynn T. LaFave and son, Michael LaFave. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Kay (Thomas) Pequignot and Lesley (Jack) Finney; 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 4, 2011 at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 5301 W. 16th Street, Speedway from 10-11 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Augustine Home for the Aged and St. Christopher Church. Arrangements made by Stevens Mortuary and Family Center. www.stevensmortuary.net

I was so sorry to learn of Dorothy's passing. I spoke to her around Christmas and we were trying to get together for lunch once the weather broke. This came as a complete shock. Dorothy was a wonderful, fun loving person. We had a lot of great times together. My heart goes out to all of you. God Bless!

I have thought of your mother often. She and my mother (Joy Robinson) were good friends, and both worked at Public Service. Your mother was a great example to me of the Catholic Church. In fact, my confirmation is coming up in a couple of weeks. She is part of the reason.
