Evelyn Marie Wilde Bencik 90, of Indianapolis passed away on June 18, 2011. She was born on September 12, 1920 in Indianapolis, IN. Evelyn was a member of the Red Hat Club and St. Barnabas Church. She enjoyed playing cards and loved all her grandkids. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, John E. Bencik Sr. She is survived by her sons, John E. (Jerri) Bencik Jr. and Edward J. (Shirley) Bencik IV; daughters, Beverly (Joe) Herring, Pamela (Penrod) Benson and Patrica (Jeff) Stulz; sister, Elsie Champlin; sisters-in-law; Edna Wilde and Velma Wilde; brother, Roy Wilde; 24 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 22 from 10am-1pm with a funeral service at 1pm at Stevens Mortuary & Family Center, 5520 W. 10 St, Indpls. I'm deeply sprry for the loss. Mrs. Bencik was a lovley devout Catholic. I remember her well. Once her daughter Deloris ( Pamela)and I ate some tomatoes out of her garden. Still today, they are the best tomatoes I have ever had. That was probably over 50 years ago. My sympathy to the family. May God bless all of you at this time
