Virginia Robinson

Virginia L. Robinson, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt passed away Tuesday evening, August 7, 2012, at 9:30 pm. She was the eldest child of Oscar and Lillie McAlhaney, born in Louisville Kentucky on June 18, 1921. She was raised in Indianapolis, Indiana and attended Tech High School. Virginia worked for several years at Eli Lilly and Company and finished her working years at Uniroyal, retiring in 1983 with almost 30 years of service with the company. She is survived by her sisters Dorothy D. Melson and Mary L. Totter. She was predeceased by her parents and brothers Robert and William A. McAlhaney and her sister Nancy Jane Zook. She is survived by five children, Ermine (Paul) Schufeldt, Helen (Robert) Burgess, Delores Robinson, John (Theresa) Hayes, and Linda Stamatkin. She had 18 grandchildren, Kimberly, Tiana, Paul Steven, Hannah, and Hope Schufeldt; Virginia Jeffcoat, Sabrina Benoit, Kathy McAlister, Carol Dorsey, Elvis Holtsclaw, Laura Fishburn, Deanna Goodblood, Jeannie Rountree, John Hayes, Jr., Charlie and Amy Hayes, Richard Stamatkin, Jr. and Lisa Todd. She had 22 great-grandchildren, James and Joseph Jeffcoat; Kalie Benoit, Jonathon, Jeremy, Jaydon, Jaycob, Jackson and Lainy McAlister; Allie and Zackary Dorsey, Mercedes Bartee, Stephanie Vavages, Kimberly Robinson, Alexis Burgess, Ben and Sarah Wilson; Nicolas and Madison Hayes, Charles Hayes, Jr.; Chelsea Todd and David Todd II. She had 5 great-great-grandchildren, Elsie, Penny and Anthony Vavages; London M. Scarbrough, and Eden Wilson.
