Obituary
Charles Cesnik, 76, of Indianapolis passed away October 14, 2012. Charles was a research chemist at Lilly Industrial Coatings in Indianapolis, IN for 41 years. He was a member of the American Chemical Society (Emeritus Member) since 1958. He enjoyed hiking and swimming and listening to Catholic Radio, the ISO and Jazz. Charles was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church and St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church. He graduated from Holy Trinity class of 1950, Cathedral High School in 1954 and Marian College class of 1958. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Cesnik and Rose L. (Radez) Cesnik and wives, Charlene A. (Roche) Cesnik to whom he was married for 35 years and Marilyn J. (McNamara) Cesnik to whom he was married for 3 years. He is survived by his sons, Michael A. (Sharon) Cesnik, Robert J. (Christina) Cesnik and Christopher W. (Malinda) Cesnik; daughter, Ellen C. (Charles) Ferguson; grandchildren, Nick, Katie, Nathaniel, Kelcie, Shelby, Beau, Dustin, Luke and Emily; great-granddaughter, Ashlynn and step-children, Paul and Laura Jefferson, Katherine and Tom Holton and John and Alison Jefferson. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 18 from 4 pm - 8 pm in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indpls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 19 at 10 am in St. Christopher Catholic Church, 1501 W. 16th St., Indpls. Internment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Society of St. Vincent De Paul, 3001 East 30th Street Indianapolis or the American Cancer Society, 5635 W. 96th Street, Suite 100 Indianapolis, IN 46278.
