Johanna Wilson

Johanna M. O'Connell Wilson, 89, of Indianapolis passed away December 25, 2012. She was born February 18, 1923 to her parents, John F. and Frances Lowden O'Connell, who both precede her in death. She went to Holy Rosary Grade School and St. Mary's Academy. She married her husband, John O. Wilson on February 7, 1948, who passed away on May 22, 1983. She was a secretary at Curtiss Wright and Indianapolis Transit System for 28 years. Johanna was a member of St. Joseph Parish, the Altar Society, a Eucharistic Minister and CWO. She volunteered for the Birth Line and Riley Hospital. She was preceded in death by her brother, John T. O'Connell; sisters, Sister Frances K. O'Connell, Gertrude Godioz, Mildred Gibbons and Rita Doucleff. She is survived by her sisters, Theresa Oakley and Agnes Strack and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 5 at 11:30 am in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1375 South Mickley Avenue, Indianapolis with visitation from 10:30 am until Mass. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Stevens Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1375 South Mickley Avenue, Indianapolis.
