Betty O'Rourke

Betty Carol O'Rourke, 77, of Plainfield passed away April 16, 2013. She was born February 19, 1941 to Ernest E. and Virginia Brite. Betty was employed as and RN of oncology at Methodist Hospital in Memphis, TN. She was a member of the Plainfield Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. She was avid-big time reader and a master seamstress. She was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, William Thomas LaRue, who passed away in 1980; second husband of 18 years, Daniel O'Rourke, who passed away in 2003 and father, Ernest E. Brite. She is survived by her mother, Virginia Brite; sisters, Jenny (Tim) L. Burks and Paulatta (Chuck) J. Gordon both of West Memphis, AR; brother, Jimmy Dean (Gerry) Fortune of Stephenville, TX; daughters, Stephanie R. LaRue of Plainfield, IN and Andrea D. Jones of Arlington, TN; grandchildren, Justin D. O'Rourke of Memphis, TN, Kallie C. Nelson of Plainfield, IN, William J. Nelson of Plainfield, IN, Nicholas C. Jones of Arlington, TN, and Michael M. Jones of Arlington, TN; nieces and nephews, Timothy A. Burks, Madison D. Burks, Samantha Burks all of West Memphis, AR, Deana F. Isbell, Dawn Francis both of Tyler, TX, April F. Smith of Payson, UT and Jimmy Dean Fortune of Stephenville, TX. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 19 from 11 am - 1 pm with a funeral service at 1 pm in The Journey Church, 620 N. Carr Road, Plainfield. Burial will be held on Monday, April 20 in Bassett Cemetery, Bassett, AR.
