Irene C. Smith, 82 of Indianapolis died July 23, 2013. She was born on December 16, 1930 in Haldego - Wayne City Kentucky to the late Elmer O. and Lylia R. Winchester. She is preceded in death by her husband of fifty years John J. Smith who died in March of 2013. Irene is also preceded in death by her sisters Thelma M. Dickerson and Geraldine Perkins. She is survived by her daughters Betsy C. Brown and Jerilyn M. Dowty, brothers David S. Winchester and Donald R. Winchester, 4 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 18 great great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday July 27, 2013 in Drexel Gardens Apostolic Tabernacle 5033 W. Legrande Ave Indianapolis, IN, with visitation from 12 noon until service time. I am so sorry to hear of the death of Irene. The passing away of a loved one is always with much sorrow. May we have faith and confidence in the Bible's promise of a time when pain, sickness and death are a thing of the past (Revelation 21:3, 4). My condolences are with the family at this difficult time.
