David Wayne Reedy, 69, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2013 in Avon, IN. David was born February 16,1944 to Les and Betty Lou (Burke) Owens in Galveston, TX. David proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, where he earned a Purple Heart. David owned and operated a pool construction company in Texas, and later a gas station on the west side of Indianapolis. David is survived by his son, Matthew; sister, Vicki; and brothers, James and Richard. David was preceded in death by his parents. A private memorial service will be held.

I'm saddened to hear the news of David's passing. He was sort of like my step-Dad, and although we often didn't agree on everything, we had plenty of good times together. He was a strong role model and someone whom I have always admired and cared about. David - thank you for teaching me so much about life, and, oh yes - about the care and maintenance of swimming pools. May we meet again.
