Charlotte Oprisu

Charlotte Lucille Eisman Oprisu, 88, of Indianapolis and formerly of Terre Haute passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 23, 2013. She was born May 12, 1925 in Terre Haute, IN to Charles L. and Marie (Sweet) Eisman. Charlotte married Nick G. Oprisu and they had 4 children. Charlotte graduated from Garfield High School. She worked at Clabber Girl Baking Powder in Terre Haute and in the printing office at Indiana State University for a short time. She was a loving wife and mother to her family. She helped in raising and caring for many of her grandchildren. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 62 years, Nick G. Oprisu; sister, Betty Jean Eisman Goodman and brother, Charles E. Eisman. She is survived by her children, Stevan (Mary) Oprisu of Clayton, Rick (Amanda) Oprisu of Carmel, Anna Marie Oprisu of Indianapolis and Nikki (Tony) Simmons of Avon. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25 from 4 - 8 pm in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indpls and Tuesday, November 26 in Roselawn Cemetery Chapel in Terre Haute, IN from 1 pm to 2 pm with burial following.
