Obituary
Luetta "Lu" Rose Killinger, 92, of Indianapolis, passed away December 5, 2013. Lu was the daughter of Fred and Claire Wegehoft. She was the wife of George L. Killinger who also precedes her in death. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 11 at 10:30am in St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 3354 West 30th St. Indianapolis, with visitation from 9:30am until the time of Mass. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Stevens Mortuary, 5520 West 10th St., Indianapolis.

I knew Lu had been sick for some time. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and I know she is in a better place.

I first met Lu when she contacted me to repaint a custom toilet seat that she and George had purchased right after their wedding for their new home.
It had faded, but was originally, beautifully handpainted with cherubs on the lid and on the inside of the lid was "Ladies be Seated" in script. Quite unusual! Lu and I became friends after that one and only toilet seat project of my artistic career. Lu had an incredibly strong faith and although she could be very opinionated, she could also be very kind. She will be missed.
