Jerry Grove

Jerry Keith Grove. 85, earned his wings on Sunday, January 12, 2025.  

Jerry and his two sisters, Donna and Barbara, were born to Gerald and Pauline in Iowa.

He was married to his loving wife, Toni, for 48 years. Between the two, they had four children, Scott (Rosie), Sherri (Eric), Jerry and Robin, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Prior to retiring, he worked as a machinist at Diamond Chain to support his family and hobbies.

Jerry was always tinkering and fixing things. He was a self taught mechanic, who had a great love of cars. He belonged to the Cluster Buster's car club. He and his family spent many weekends on rod runs and car shows, even winning many trophies for his beloved 1934 Plymouth coupe.

For extra income in retirement, he became a landlord when he decided to buy fixer upper houses in his neighborhood.  He loved picking up lawn mowers that had been tossed to the curb by their owners, only to repair them and sale them.

Jerry enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, laughing, joking, drinking beer with the guys. He freely gave advice and his opinion, whether asked for or not. 

He loved God and country, serving in the Army. He helped people out in any way he could. He was a problem solver. He was a force. He was a pain in the ass. His family was his world, even when he didn't always show it. He had such a good time living, that he thought he would live forever.
