Benjamin Stanley Domogalik, Bonaswave Stanasloff Domogalik, 95, of Indianapolis passed away February 4, 2014. He was born April 5, 1918 in Indianapolis, IN to Joseph and Helen Domogalik by midwife at their residence on Ketcham Street. Benny resided in Haughville from 1920 - 2012 at 751 Concord St. Indianapolis. Benny attended Holy Trinity Catholic Church with his beloved late wife Joan. He graduated from George Washington High School in 1936. He worked for Link Belt for 17 years and the main post office in downtown Indianapolis for 16 years. Benny served in the Army Air Corp for 4 years as a Staff Sergeant and was the recipient of the Bronze Star, Philippine Liberation and Victory medal. He retired in 1983 from the Federal Government Pension and Social Security department. Benjamin is preceded in death by his loving wife, Joan Owens Domogalik, who passed away in May 2010. They were married on July 3, 1948 and were married for 62 years. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 9 from 4 pm - 8 pm in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indpls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 10 at 10 am in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 901 N. Holmes Ave., Indpls. Burial will follow Calvary Cemetery. Benny was a great guy! I worked with him everyday and cherished my moments with him. He always had a smile on his face and it could light up a room! I will remember our "lunch dates" and how much he loved bingo and speaking to us in Polish! We sure will miss him!

It was always a pleasure to see 'Uncle' Benny at Mass on Sunday. He would smile and greet as many people as he could get to and shake hands. He was a blessing to be around.

We thank God for the precious memories we shared with you and Aunt Joan. Oh the wonderful stories I shall never forget of your life and experiences you shared when we talked. These last 3 years that you have lived with us have truly been a blessing for Rick and I. Your sweet smile and welcomed daily hugs made the days go to quickly. You and Rick are so much alike it makes me smile. I loved every day playing cards and watching NCIS reruns that I taped for you the night before. Our children and grandchildren enjoyed your visits to Texas, all the card games and family fun times together. We prayed and worshiped our Lord and savior with you Uncle Benny. Know that your memory will always live on in our hearts and prayers. Rest in peace with your beloved Joan. Our God is so gracious thank you Lord Jesus no more pain dear uncle.
