Stephen D. Anderson, 67, of Indianapolis passed away April 27, 2014. He was born February 5, 1947 in Indianapolis, IN to Chester and Mary (Moore) Anderson. Steve was a long haul truck driver. He was a 32 degree mason and enjoyed racing sprint cars. He is survived by his loving wife, Sheila R. Anderson of Plainfield, IN; brother, Clifford Anderson; sister, Penny Brown of Indianapolis, IN; daughters, Rhonda McCall of Nashville, IN, Stephanie Watkins of Indianapolis, IN, Stacy Anderson of Lebanon, IN and Yavonne Rogers of Centerville, OH; sons, Stephen Anderson II of Whitestown, IN and Ted Bray of Franklin, Ohio; sister in laws, Gale Hall of Richmond, IN, Dawn Coleman of Richmond, IN and Tikie Marich of Noblesville, IN; 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 12 pm on Saturday May 3, 2014 in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th Street Indianapolis, with visitation from 10 am until service time. Interment services will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

Please accept my deepest condolences on your loss...I regret that it has been so long since I have seen everyone,for which I have no excuse..I hope the good memories can outweigh the sorrows at some point for everyone...I will cherish the memories of racing,playing cards,and just out-right bull-shooting...my Uncle Steven was a good,decent man who will be missed....

I remember as a kid going to I.R.P. with Uncle Steve in an old Nova he had that the hood was chained down so he could enter an open drag race....I also remember the backlash when my mom Judy found out what had transpired,but in my mind it was worth it it all....Uncle Steve definately loved to race,and i will always be grateful for the times i was included....Thank You so much Uncle Steve....race on driver,race on
