James Oliver Jones, 85, of Avon, passed away on May 10, 2014. James was born in Haughsville, KY on January 7, 1929 to Keller and Lulu Jones, both preceding him in death. In 1987, James was preceded in death by his wife of 18 years, Grace Helen Jones. He is survived by his daughter, Jamie Sue Romans of Avon, IN; sons, John Michael Jones and James O. Jones Jr., both of Waskon, TX; brother, Albert Jones of Indianapolis, IN; grandsons, James Ray Romans of Kentucky, and John Michael Jones Jr. of Louisiana; granddaughters, Elizabeth Bishop of California and Candice Thacker of Louisiana; great- grandchildren, Briana Bishop, Ross Bishop Jr., Malachi Bishop, Olivia Bishop, Alicia Romans, Hailey Romans and James Ray Romans Jr.

I would like to offer my deepest sympathies to you. I know the pain of a broken heart. Our Heavenly Father feels our pain. Psalms 34:18 assures us that He is near to those broken at heart. He does, however, hold out a promise that in the very near future He will wipe out all tears of sorrow and pain from our eyes and death will be no more. (Revelation 21:3-5) He also promises to remember all those in the memorial tombs (graves) and restore them to life. (John 5:28,29) Until those words are fulfilled, may you find much peace and comfort in God and in His promises found in the Holy Scriptures.
