Morris Jackson

Morris Allen Jackson, 72, of Indianapolis passed away May 21, 2014. He was born March 13, 1942 in Indianapolis, IN to Joseph and Odie (Jackson) Jackson. Morris retired from American States Insurance in 1986, he then owned and operated Jackson's Decorating from 1986 to 2013. Morris enjoyed woodworking, roller skating, fishing and playing with his grandchildren. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Paul and Earl Jackson and sister, LaGrota. Morris is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Shirley Jackson; son, David (Jennifer) Jackson; grandchildren, Celeste, Megan and Hannah Belle; sisters, Evelyn (Doug); brothers, Orville (Pat), Joe (Alice), and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 23 from 4 pm - 8 pm in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indianapolis. A funeral service will be held at 11 am also in the mortuary. Burial will follow in Clinton Falls Cemetery, Greencastle, IN.
