Anna Banich

Anna Logay Banich, 91 of Indianapolis passed away May 19, 2014. She was born July 21, 1922 in Washington, PA to Aloise and Frances (Zupancic) Logay. Anna graduated from Immaculate Conception High School. She was a full time homemaker and former book keeper for the Indianapolis Security Patrol for 19 years. Anna was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and a former member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Slovenian National Home. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Andrew and Anton Lovrencic and sisters, Mary Chunko, Julia Bukoski, Elizabeth Yemiolo and Frances Lovrencic. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Joseph A. Banich Sr.; daughter, JoAnn Banich; son, Joseph (Jeannie) Banich Jr.; grandsons, Nick (Liza) Banich and Kevin (fiance, Audrey) Banich. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 21 from 4 pm - 7:30 pm with a rosary at 7:30 pm in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indpls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 22 at 10 am in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 901 N. Holmes Ave., Indpls. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
