Luis Vera Flores, 54, of Indianapolis passed away on January 19, 2025. He was born in Hidalgo, Mexico to Luis Vera and Maria de Jesus Flores Soto on March 14, 1970. Luis was a chef, mechanic, security guard and construction worker. He was a strong man; a man made of steel. He had a natural talent of wiggling his ears. Luis was known for being a genuine man with a very loving heart. Most importantly, Luis was known for being the best dad to his only son “ser el major Padre a Su unico hijo”. Luis was preceded in death by his son, Rickie Louis Vera; father, Luis Vera; brother, Rubion Vera Flores; and sister, Rocio Vera Flores. He is survived by his son, Aldahir Vera Montes; mother, Maria de Jesus Flores Soto; brothers, Marcos Vera Flores and Francisco Vera Flores; girlfriend, Maria; and his dog son, Terry Vera Flores.

Luis was one of the most hardworking, loyal and sweet colleagues I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He was always there for me and for La Margarita. Since he started with us nearly 20 years ago, we could count on him to show up, and prepare the most delicious meals. He was quiet but always had a greeting and a smile for me. I know how much he loved his sons, and how proud he was of Aldahir - he loved to tell me what was going on with him. He touched a lot of people, quietly. He was the best kind of person.
